Little Bridges baby & toddler group

Meets Tuesdays during term time, 10am - 11:30am in the Function Suite at the Bridge Centre

10am is free play, craft activity/sensory play followed by fruit and drinks at about 10.30am. 11.15am is tidy up time, then singing and story, sometimes a bible story.

Volunteers are DBS checked and are happy to chat and help. Your children are your own responsibility. We have baby changing facilities and first aid available if ever needed.

We hope you and your child/baby enjoy your time with us and make friends.

There’s usually a project on the go that you can join in with or bring your own project to work on and get some advice from our experienced leader, Rosie.

Occasionally hand crafted items are sold at the Crafty Club Pop-up Shop at Potters Church, and items made specifically to donate to the homeless or the neonatal unit.

Tea & coffee available, all ages welcome.

Meets Wednesdays 10am - 12noon in The Link, at the Bridge Centre.

Hobby Hub

Meets monthly on a Saturday 9:30am - 12noon in the Coffee Lounge, at the Bridge Centre.

There’s a focus on a different hobby each month and can be a great way of finding out about things you may not already know about. There’s been sushi making, poetry reading, cheese tasting, hanging basket planting, American Civil War Games, and colouring to name but a few. Bring £1 to contribute if you would like breakfast, served around 10am by Phil and Jayne who lead the group. Tea & coffee also available.

Some people bring along card games, knitting, crochet, jigsaws to be enjoying before the focus on the feature hobby.

All ages welcome and encouraged.

Bikers Hub

The bikers’ meeting point before the ride takes place at the same time as Hobby Hub as they join in with breakfast to fill up before the journey. Bring £1 if you plan on joining for this part.

Mark leads the group, sharing the pre-planned route and the all important health and safety protocols for a safe ride before setting off from the Bridge Centre at 11am.

Please sign up using the church calendar to join for the ride, where you will be sent some further information.

Open House

Meets Fridays 10am - 11:30am in The Link, at the Bridge Centre.

A chance to get together for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat. Alan leads the session and can be found telling jokes, inviting guests to talk to the group, and arranging visits for chippy lunches for everyone, as well as Summer and Christmas Parties.

An over 55’s group, good for older people who may be feeling isolated. There’s a disabled toilet available immediately next to the room.

Walking Group

The group often have a picnic before setting off on the walk, which in the winter months changes to a pub lunch.

The group try to be as inclusive as possible, meaning if you just want to come along for food because you’re not a keen walker, that’s okay! Sometimes the group will split up into shorter more steady walkers and those who want to go for a longer distance.

Jayne is the walk leader. Keep an eye on the church calendar for the details, which do vary month to month, and sign up to let Jayne know you’re coming.

Meets monthly on Sundays (but sometimes Saturdays & bank holidays). Times, distance and location varies.

If you enjoy playing board games and like to socialise, our games night is for you. We have people hosting in different parts of the city in their homes.

Sign up using the church calendar if you’d like to join in so that you can be matched to the location nearest to you (meetings are ad hoc, so if there’s nowhere to sign up it means the next date is yet to be arranged).

Meeting on an ad hoc basis at people’s homes.
