Dedications and Baptisms

Dedication Ceremonies - What to expect?

At Potters Church we dedicate babies and children.

This is a ceremony where promises are made by the parents & Godparents. They promise to bring up the child to know about the Christian faith in the hope that they will choose to be baptised for themselves when they are older.

The wider church family also promises to support the parents and child(ren) and we pray for God's blessing to be on them throughout their life.

It is a similar ceremony to a traditional Christening or baptism and it is conducted during a usual Sunday morning worship service (9:30am or 11:15am)

If you would like to know more or to book a ceremony, please email alison@potterschurch.co.uk or call the office on 01782 683781

Baptisms

At our latest Baptism service 13 people were baptised and 3 were re-dedicated. It was a wonderful time of celebration! The candidates came to study sessions led by Pastor Ali to gain a fuller understanding of what it means to be baptised before the big day.
