Welcome to Potters Church

We meet every Sunday at 9:30 & 11:15am

We meet here at the Bridge Centre, Birches Head Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST2 8DD

If it’s your first time visiting here’s a handy guide for you

What time does it start?

Our first Sunday service begins at 9:30am and finishes around 10.45am. Our second Sunday service begins at 11:15am and finishes around 12:30pm.

Where is it?

Potters Church meets at the Bridge Centre, Birches Head Road, ST2 8DD.

Where can I park?

We have plenty of free parking on site, where our friendly car park team will welcome and direct you. If our car park fills up, there is also free parking on the road just outside the Bridge Centre.

Is there a bus route?

Although there is a bus stop on Birches Head Road, unfortunately on a Sunday no bus service runs to it. You will need to get a bus to Hanley Bus Station and walk from there, it’s around a 30 minute walk. You may prefer to phone for a taxi if coming a long way without your own transport.

What should I wear?

We don’t have an expected dress code, and most people usually dress in a casual manner. If you’d like to wear a new dress or suit though, you’d be very welcome!

What should I expect?

As you enter the building you will be met by a member of our welcome team, who will be happy to answer any questions and show you where to go. All are welcome to meet and chat before the service begins in the main hall/auditorium, where you can choose any seat.

We usually start with standing to sing worship songs led by our band, where all the words will be put up on a screen to read and sing along if you wish. The main service continues with prayer, an inspiring talk with teaching from the Bible, some more time to worship and further prayer and blessing to close.

We have a room with toys for parents and children under 4 and activity groups for children where your children are well taken care of with fun, games, activities and teaching from the Bible.

We believe that the best way to live is by having a relationship with Jesus and we want you to be equipped and ready to live your life and faith with confidence.

Will I be asked for money?

No. We want our guests to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible, which includes not asking you for any money; our church is completely free to attend. However, if you would like to make a gift, there are envelopes available for you to use or you can give online. However, we do believe that giving, both of time and money is an important part of discipleship. It allows us to grow in our faith, to be faithful to the word of God and enables our church to thrive and grow.

Tell me more about ‘worship’?

Our worship band is different week by week. We sing songs to God, or about God, as a way of showing Him that we love Him, or say thank you for what He’s done for us.

The sung worship time is interspersed throughout the service and we want to invite you to enjoy that time, whether you want to sing along with us, or just stand or sit back and take it in, to relax and observe what’s going on. We’d encourage you to read and listen along, and of course ask us any questions about anything that you’re curious about.

What happens in the talk/sermon bit?

The speaker is usually a member of the church (though we sometimes have guest speakers in too), and they’ll talk about a passage of the Bible, or a part of God’s character. They will also give teaching on living life as a Christian and emphasise the truth of the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What’s an All In?

On the second and fifth Sundays of the month, we worship together as the whole church. We call these services 'All In's'.

Both services (9.30am and 11.15am) follow the same order. There's usually worship songs, a talk, some fun and games and a chance for all ages to come together as one church.

Potters Kids doesn't run on these Sundays as a separate group. The stay and play creche for age 4 and under is still available should you wish to use it.

We'd love to see you!
